About Anointed Martial Arts
Anointed Martial Arts was originally known as Sunridge Karate and began as a ministry at Sunridge Community Church in June 2001. Mr. Rob Hager, a member of Sunridge Church, realized the need to provide a practical way for young people to apply Christian morals and values to their lives. He felt that a well rounded martial arts program would be the perfect training ground to accomplish this task. The program started out with 16 students, ages 5 - 14, and steadily grew to over 100 students in just 2 years.
In late 2003, Mr. Gary Kruger came along side Mr. Hager and began assisting with the teaching. The two quickly realized that the program was growing larger than their current facility could hold. After praying about what to do, a partnership between Mr. Hager and Mr. Kruger was formed and plans were made to move into a bigger facility.
In March of 2005 our vision to serve the Temecula Valley was realized as we moved into a 2000 square foot facility. In July 2007, God orchestrated a move that allowed us to double the size of our facility to 4000 square feet. We are now located at 27496 Commerce Center Drive Suite A in Temecula and offer classes for your entire family.
The name of the school was changed in September 2009 from Sunridge Karate to Anointed Martial Arts with the vision of training Anointed Fighters to “fight the good fight of faith” mentioned in 1 Timothy 6:12.
The style of martial arts taught at Anointed Martial Arts is a free-style martial art known as ChristJitsu. The techniques taught within ChristJitsu are derived from Kenpo, Taekwondo, American Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Kali and various other styles. However, the primary goal of ChristJitsu is develop disciples of Christ who are willing to speak the truth in love and stand up for those that can not stand for themselves. The blending of styles, along with the desire to teach God’s word, is what makes this program one of the most well rounded self defense programs available. |
